GaiaSoil™ Outdoor Furniture utilizes our patented ultra-lightweight growing medium, GaiaSoil, to create extremely lightweight & modular vegetated furniture for rooftops and patios.

GaiaSoil provides unparalleled ecological function at a fraction of the weight of competitors’ products. Composed of recycled Styrofoam, GaiaSoil reflects our commitment to reusing waste stream materials to improve the environmental performance of cities.

Inspired by our committment to maximize vegetated space in urban areas, we are working with local furniture designers to create functional, sustainable and beautiful outdoor furniture that restores ecosystems in the process.

GaiaSoil Outdoor Furniture is:

• Modular – Comes to you in a box and is just as easy to assemble as Ikea furniture
• Sustainable – Uses recycled components where possible, no plastic, and removes styrofoam from the waste stream through the use of GaiaSoil
• Restores Ecosystems – You decide what to plant, however we recommend native vegetation for optimal cooling, ease of care, and increased biodiversity for your rooftop or patio
• Incredibly Lightweight – Nobody wants to move heavy planters, but GaiaSoil weighs less than 1/5 of other soil media. You’ll be surprised just how easy it is to re-arrange your furniture setup when hosting guests or for any occasion

GaiaSoil™ Indoor Furniture is currently under development to provide accelerated indoor air filtration through vegetation and soil layers while beautifying indoor spaces with dense low-light plants and functional, lightweight furniture.
